MY BIOGRAPHY 1970 WINTER

In January 1970 I had a new contract, which gave me the chance to play in one of the most beautiful village in Switzerland. Located in "Bern Oberland County". It was on the top of a rocky mountain, not accessible by cars as there are no road but only accessible by cable car. I had the feeling to go to paradise!
This beautiful place is Murren.

In Murren was filmed the first James Bond Movie. This has brought Murren fame  throughout the world because of is unique location, it's the Piz-Gloria Restaurant which rotate at 10000ft in the Alps, and from where you can see the two beautiful lakes of
(Thun and Bern) Switzerland.

The HIGER HORN is one of the most dangerous  for mountain climbers. In addition, this rocky mountain has an inner tunnel with an elevator in it to access the restaurant located at the top of it. Spectacular!

To access Murren it was and still two ways to go up-there (Cable Car & Cabin) Here's the view from the cabin from the first stop station before arriving to Murren. It's a very daunting feeling when the wind blows between the two rocky mountains which form this valley like the Grand Canyon in the US.

The Piz-Gloria with it unique view and location, make it the highest restaurant in Europe if not the world.

The panorama of this village Murren is like to be in the "Snow White Story". In winter when the sun shine on the snow, it look like 1000 diamonds on the top of it.

Murren in Winter

Although our time in Murren was incredible,
I had to go back to reality, which this time brought out our band at the "Western Saloon"in Basel Switzerland. This place looked like a saloon in Texas in the 1800's, but with a lot of people coming from all over to listen to good music. I play there the whole month of May  with new musicians, with an incredible German singer/guitar player, who had  a voice like Tom Jones. Also with my friend the ex-keyboarder from The Hit Boy's.

Here the band in action on stage.  We played all kind of music,  from Rock, funk, soul, 60's & Verny the singer sang a lot  of Tom  Jones songs.
